ARP Flat Washers suitable for A Series Main Cap using ARP Main Cap Bolts.

Upgrade your A-series engine with ARP hardened steel washers, designed to replace unreliable and poorly made center main straps. These straps became popular in the 1960s when pushing engines to extreme RPM was seen as the key to performance.

However, the A-series 3-main bearing crankshaft wasn’t built to handle sustained high RPM. Over time, the bolt heads of the main caps can dig into the cap surfaces, reducing clamping force and causing the caps to move, eventually leading to failure.

These washers solve the issue by maintaining proper clamping pressure, offering a more durable, cost-effective, and mechanically sound solution to improve engine reliability and performance.
