About Us
At Damico we specialise in the development of high performance competition engines, however we are able to build and produce engine components for any performance vehicle. All engines built by Damico are tested on our in-house Schenck engine dynamometer.
We welcome one-off engine builds and specialist engines where traditional performance parts are not available, or historic engines where components are no longer commerically available. We are happy to rebuild engines originally assembled by other engine builders.
Our high end, accurately calibrated engine dynamometer facility is available to hire for mapping work or performance development. We can help you to extract the most from your engine, whatever it may be.
We are proud of the standards of our workmanship and invite the customer to view your engine at any stage during the build and development process. Call us to discuss your ideas and we will give you the benefit of our considerable motorsport experience.
All engine development work is undertaken by us in confidence. We will not divulge the specification of your engine to anyone else.
Please consider the following points before contacting us:
- We are happy to undertake machining work for any operation, but we only complete full engine builds accompanied with a dyno test session.
- We only work with purpose designed programmable engine management systems that optimise the engine's performance fully. We can supply, map and install a full system to suit your engine. We dont sell 'chip' upgrades for original equipment engine management ECUs.
- We will not build a race engine to 'cheat' the regulations. We study the rules to build the best engine that they will allow. Your engine could benefit from a professional rebuild even if no modifications are allowed.
- Our engine dynamometer is calibrated accurately and measures the torque at the flywheel. It certified by Schenck and gives repeatable results. Therefore the readings it gives is what your engine produces, we don't provide exaggerated power/torque figures.
